Montefalco

Il Balcone dell'Umbria

Montefalco

It is known as ‘The Balcony of Umbria’ for its enchanting location: it is, indeed, situated on a nice hill (473 mt.) among the valleys of Clitunno, Topino and Tevere. The town is worth visiting also because of the frescoes of Benozzo Gozzoli and Pietro Vannucci called Perugino, and also for its product most known: wine Sagrantino. Moreover, its sanctuaries are paramount to understand the Umbrian spirituality. The village is full of medieval and renaissance palaces.

From a lot of years Umbria is also well known for its high level of enogastronomia’s products, for the “slow-food” way of life, for its expecially wine Sagrantino and, in Montefalco, for its “Agosto Montefalchese”.
L’Arco Romanico offers visitors the chance to be in the historical centre of Montefalco and, at the same time, a pleasant place to stay while exploring the surrounding area. Don’t forget to get special tours of cities such as Perugia, Assisi, Foligno, Bevagna, Spello, Trevi and Spoleto.

L’Arco Romanico is a convenient location, within the city walls of Montefalco, allows visitors to experience both the historic and artistic atmosphere that characterises the site with ample views of the valley below.
